Telstar Tire was established in 1970 as a private brand tire line. In 1996 Treadways purchased Telstar Tire and it joined the Treadways company. Treadways markets tires under the brand names of Sumitomo, Laramie, Eldorado, and Jetzon and is based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Treadways Company distributes tires worldwide. Telstar provides tires for passenger cars, SUV’s, and light trucks. Telstar stands behind its statement, “Our quality and performance are second to none.”
For passenger cars Telstar provides a line of touring, all-season, and economy radial tires including the Tempra Passenger line. Also, Telstar provides high performance tires for the high performance driver including the Premium Powerline and Value Powerline. All Telstar passenger tires are backed by mileage warranties of up to 80,000 miles and a manufacturing warranty packaged. For SUV’s and light trucks, Telstar provides tires with different tread patterns designed for on-road and off-road usage including the Radial light truck and Tempra light truck lines. Telstar also offers a line of Tempra winter tread tires for those chilly winter months.
